MY STORY

Whether young or old, traditional or modern, everyone looks better in the right hat!

Originally hailing from Brighton, England, I started working in the hat industry in Vancouver, Canada, in 2010. I fell in love with the creative and fabrication of millinery and a year later, in 2011, I began designing and making my own hats!

Now I provide services including repair and restoration, cleaning, bespoke hat, wardrobe pieces for film and television and millinery classes for individuals and groups.

SERVICES

My style comes from a combination of experimentation with materials, finding new and unique ways to shape, form and drape and the use of traditional techniques. My men's hats are formed on traditional wooden blocks using steam and pressure applied by hand, all seams are hand-stitched. Some styles are also shaped freeform to give near-infinite variation in the crown and brim. Most hat bodies are made from fur felt although I do work with wool felt, straw, silk, sinamay, and other materials.

Repair and restoration services include cleaning and reshaping of most types of hats as well as brim repair and replacement. I specialize in repairs to Panama hats including cleaning and crown repairs. Please call or email to discuss your needs, mailing your hats to me is also an option.
